Nothing else happened last night, and there are still police vehicles outside. But I've only had about a 30 minute snooze since 7am yesterday morning, I feel shattered and extremely distressed by it all.

I spoke with the guy from the ASB team, who phoned me this morning as he had heard about the incident, he's waiting for some info from the police and will get back to me.

I've had the woman from the mediation service phone me again, as she's keen to get me and my neighbour talking to each other, I told her of the incident last night but she persisted. I really can't see what can come of it, they know what the issues are yet it still goes on, but "my neighbour wants to talk the issues through"and now we have people trying to smash the door down for who knows what reason. In my distressed dtate I've agreed to a date of 16th June.. mainly to stop her trying to make it sound that if I refuse, that it would reflect badly.

It's now almost a year since this first started, and in that year I feel I've let folks down as I've become increasingly distant, I also now have the letter from my GP who has no doubts of it's effect on my mental health.

Is it too much to want it all to stop?

Thanks for all your support, I don't know what I'd do without the friends I have here and nearby.

Oh Jo,

Ive just read your post, what a terrible predicament to be in. I do sincerely hope you get your bungalow. My mum had bother with a neighbour years ago. It got to the point it was affecting her health too. She was introduced to Victims Support who were a brilliant help. She is now in sheltered housing, I fought with the top bosses to get her that house. Tell them it is their duty to keep you safe in your own home, and if there is a house available you want it. You are entitled to a place where you can relax in your home and feel safe to sleep at night. Thinking about you and hoping you get your house. Lorna xx

Oh Jo, I can't believe this!
They need to get you out of there now, it's too late to be talking to a neighbour who attracts attention from people with guns!
I just feel so sorry for you, how are you supposed to sleep with all that going on?
Is there anyone you could stay with till they decide to get their act together and find you another house?
I wish I could come and take you out of there and take you somewhere safe, but I can't, I'll send you lots of cyber hugs instead.

Love, Doreen xx

Dear Jo,

The expression to use to that silly woman who listens but does not hear is 'this is not up for discussion, I do not wish any contact with people who are engaged in illegal practices'. How dare she! As if you do not have enough on your plate. Any value in getting an appointment with GP and MP again?

Thinking of you and sending cyber hugs too.

Dear Jo,

I`m so very sorry this sort of stuff is escalating, and I worry for you lying awake wondering what will happen next. There is no point in engaging this neighbour in dialogue. I hope there may be someone you can stay with, for some peace of mind. I think I`d head back to the GP - clearly another bit of "clout" is in order.

Thinking of you,

Kathleen x

Oh Jo, I can't believe that this is still going on after all this time! What are the council thinking of, leaving you in this vulnerable situation, to say nothing of your health? Is there anyone who would put you up for a while? Could you go back to your GP and see uf there's anything else she can do?

I'm sorry I can't come up with any other ideas, but I do hope you can get out of there quickly.

Thinking of you

Hi Jo

Don't know what to say to this awful mess that seems to be worsening by the day. I wish there was something positive and practical I could do to help you out. It sounds a very unsafe place to be and is causing you such stress. Oh Jo, you just can't continue living in that environment it is neither safe nor good for your health. Is there anywhere you could stay for a while?

Thinking of you Jo, keep posting. Look forward to chatting with you,

<sigh>

well after a short period of quiet after the incident on Tuesday evening where my wonderful neighbours were away for a day or so and I had the best day living here in 12 months, they returned yesterday and it starts again, yelling, doors slamming, smell of drugs from friends they have in and out.

today at just after 12 it kicks off again, her above me had kicked out her boyfriend (you know the one who doesn't live with her, but lives opposite) He then spend almost 2 hours shouting, screaming, and kicking their already damaged front door trying to get in. after her saying he had ruined her life etc... she lets him back in.. 30 more minutes of arguments, things being thrown and then half an hour of hammering while he tries to patch up the already damaged front door

I've managed to record about 20 minutes of audio of the whole incident which I will inform the council about on Tuesday.

How many chances do people like this get?

I despair.. I really do.

I cannot imagine what it must be like to live there. It is bad enough having to cope with RA without living on the knife edge. The council need to be your first port of call next week. Sending you lots of love.

Here's a short sample of what i had to endure on Saturday, my wonderful neighbours in action, kicking the door in for the 2nd time in a week. The audio stops occasionally for some reason while streaming it..

Jo this can't go on! My personal few is that your local council are breaching your Human Rights under Article 8 "Right to Private and Family Life." I also think they are not using their ASBO powers correctly, or not using them at all.

Hate what's happening to you and wish there was something more I could do. Have you tried contacting the local paper to expose the councils failure to protect you as a vulnerable tenant from harassment from these neighbours, because this is what they are doing even if they don't know it!

much love,

Barbara

Dear Jo,

I felt scared just listening to this! Please send this to everyone you can think of and do as Barbara suggests. I am so worried about you. No one could live a normal, healthy and relaxed life with this going on around them.

Dear Jo,

My lovely new friend, have only known you a few weeks, but am so very worried about you living in this situation. Please take up the suggestions if you are able, but more importantly would it be possible for you to stay with someone else for a while? This is, as Barbara states, a breach of Human Rights. Your health, your sanity and your life are at risk here. It is unsafe. Please get in touch with the council again urgently, this is way out of order.
Thinking of you,

Love Lyn x

Thanks for the replies folks. Some good suggestions there for me to follow up on :)

I tried to contact the council today only to find that they take an extra day off as it was a bank holiday yesterday. I have 3 files in total similar to that one, I am about to burn those 3 files to an audio CD (that can be played on a normal CD player or a computer) A copy will be sent recorded delivery to my useless MP (who unfortunately got re-elected) the councillors (including the top honcho in charge of housing) a copy for the ASB team manager.

I'm also thinking of sending one to "ohh we can talk this through and sort it" mediation woman too. With a covering letter asking if I can raise the drug issues (which she said she couldn't mention) and if I can take these and the other recordings I've made of their behaviour and play them to those concerned. I have no intention of liaising with these scum as nothing will be resolved. gun toting people kicking their door in, and then the stuff in that recording in less than a week.

I'll keep you all posted.

HUGS

Jo.

Had a 45 minute chat to guy at council yesterday. They have now started legal action against my neighbours after Michael paid a surprise visit to the block on Friday. He smelt the cannabis, and unbeknown to me the scooter was in the block too. He said they've had more than enough chances and the evidence I had supplied has backed up every complaint. He hadn't heard the audio sample, but was going away to listen to it after.

He was also keen to hear that Mr Mouth's mother is still living at his address, they're sure there's also benefit fraud going on too.

It's been lovely here as there's been no sign of them since Sunday :)
